‘Liminal Bodies’ was a four-day intensive professional development project (as part of Live Art Development Agencies DIY 8) for body-based performance practitioners who are interested in exploring themes of transience, travel and ‘borderless-ness’. Participants investigated the effect that constant relocation and movement has on artistic practice, alongside applied methodologies for expressing borderless states through performative action. ‘Liminal Bodies’ focused on understanding the complex issues that arise when we continually site the body in new and challenging contexts, or place it in the ‘liminal’ space of the journey.
